Shanty Agustyo Rochmawati “Overview knowledge of pregnant women about Lotus Birth in district Jatinegara health center, 2015 April” ABSTRACT Lotus birth is the umbilical wich not cut. The duration of placenta and umbilical deteached from the baby’s body is about 3-10 day’s. WHO stressed the importance of unification and marging approach to the care of mothers and babies as well as stated clearly in the practical guide to the care of normal deliveries, Swiss, Geneva, 1997. The study was a decriptive study. Reearch in district Jatinegara health center, 2015 April. Pregnant women population numbered 250 people. Sample the numbered 45 people and using the rule of thumb formula. Sampling technique is non random sampling. The research instrument was a kuestionaquire. And than data were analyzed using univariate analysis. The research pregnant women it less knowledgeable about about the lotus birth as 84,5%, the majority of pregnant women 20-35 years old as many as 89%, the majority of pregnant women of junior high school aducated as many as 60%, the majority of pregnant women donot get information as many as 63,4%, the majority of pregnant women with parity multiparas as many as 53,3%. Conclusion of the study was knowledge pregnant women about lotus birth in district Jatinegara health center in 2015 still not enough, 20-35 years old, junior high school educated, parity multiparas and do not get information.
